Today, I participated in the annual 5k road race in Saugus Ma “Not a Walk in the Park 5k”. 

There were about 300 runners that showed up to run. The race took you through the beautiful scenery of Breakheart Reservation located in Saugus Massachusetts. The race was challenging because there are many hills along the course. It was a  nice morning for a 5k.

Other running news…. It official….I am signed up for  the Dopey Challenge in  2023 !

 For those unfamiliar, It is a 4 day challenge, 5k, 10k, half and full Marathon back to back on consecutive days. 48.6 total. 

I also have scheduled a Half Marathon on September10th. It is called the Maple Leaf Vermont Half Marathon. I am running this race with my daughter who is almost 27 years old. 

 Follow me, as I prepare to Go the Distance again…. So this summer, I will be participating in various races to build up a strong running base in preparation for DOPEY!
