Training For New York, Week 4

Another week of training done.
As you read this. I am in Las Vegas for vacation.
Exciting times.
My days are spent sitting by the pool, followed by big dinners.

Tuesday. nice 45-minute swim


Wednesday 8 mile


Saturday 3 miles


Sunday 5 mile

Getting Serious Training For New York, Week 3

Another week of training done! My mileage is starting to increase.

Thursday, 15 miles slow and easy.  

Saturday 6.5 miles

Sunday 3 miles

My goal is to finish the New York Marathon around 7-ish hours.

This week, for a treat, my spouse and I went to the TD Garden in Boston to see WWE Smackdown.

  Summer running is hard, but I am supporting a good cause.

NewYork Marathon training week 1 and 2

Getting Serious Training For New York week 1

Hi all,

My daughter’s wedding was a blast Saturday night! My whole family had a fun time partying.

However, all the partying took a toll on my energy. My energy was a bit low last week. I was exhausted.

After the wedding, a 1 am bedtime on Saturday night,

followed by a 6 am wake-up call on Sunday, to prepare for a post-wedding celebration brunch at my house, drained me.

Add in, before the wedding, a wonderful rehearsal dinner, coloring my hair roots, and a visit to the allergist for monthly immunotherapy shots.

But it was worth it!

So, I am looking forward to getting back on track this week.

Wednesday – Barbell Strength Class lifetime

Saturday Barbell Strength Class 13 miles

Sunday 3 miles

Getting Serious Training For New York, Week 2
Its Hard to train in the summer because of the heat. I am alot slower! Most of my running is indoors ……

Wednesday – Barbell Strength Class, and 7-mile run
Thursday – Barbell Strength Class
Friday 3-mile run
Saturday Barbell Strength Class + 3-mile run
Sunday easy swim for cardio
I also ordered my NewYork Marathon 2025 training Jacket.
The rest of my week was spent relaxing on my back porch and spending time with my family.
